HTTP Proxy Server - What Makes Them Fast?
Picking the location of your http proxy server plays a very important role. Many people fail to understand that the speed and reliability of your proxy in part depends on the connection between your home computer and where your http server is located. A good rule of thumb is that the greater the distance between your computer at home and the proxy then the slower and less responsive it will be. Obviously using http proxies that have IPs in other countries will typically mean slow web browsing. However, there are a few things you can do to try and make the most of your http proxy server.

The thing you can do is to get a proxy that is as close to your house as humanly possible. This is obvious but it is the best way to make sure any web surfing done via your proxy is as fast as possible. Always look to see if there are any hosting providers in your local cit. If this fails then move to larger or the largest city in your country. Failing that, check online to see if there are any surrounding countries that have hosting companies who you think might be able to help. The closer your http proxy is the better. The closer your http proxy is then the less time it takes for data to travel from the proxy to your home computer and vice versa. This means that faster your internet surfing will be and the less likely you'll experience any major slow downs while online with the proxy.

The next tip is applicable after you have found a host. Ask your host for an IP you can ping to test. The idea here is that you want to actually test the speed of the connection to see if it is any good. Generally speaking, while distance is a major factor it does not always mean the host has a good connection to the internet and pinging the IP will test this. The best way to test this is by actually using the Windows XP ping command or any similar ping command that your current home computer operating system has. What should you get when you ping your proxy? You are looking for the lowest possible ping you can find. Ping times simply show how long it took for information to travel to the proxy. I would consider anything around and under 250ms suitable speeds.

There are a lot of factors that can affect how fast or slow your http proxy server is. Try using using these two tips the next time you setup a proxy server. Armed with this information you should be able to make sure that you get the most from any proxy server you setup in the future.

    HTTP Proxy Info For Newbies
Looking for http proxy info? Finding http proxies on the web today is very easy to do. What makes getting reliable information about these proxies is that there are so many different types and each one has a seemingly mountain of information that can make picking the right http proxy extremely difficult and utterly confusing if you are just starting out. Read on to find out the basics about http proxies and which ones are best for you.

Proxy servers come in two basic flavours: free and paid. Each of these kinds of proxies is capable of the same thing but in the real world this is rarely not the case. Free http proxies can be found online by just searching for the phrase free http proxy. You’ll be hit with thousands of results and loads of websites offering latest proxy lists. The problem is that free proxies are often slow or just don’t work. Why or how is this possible? This is normally the case because anything that is free on the internet is typically abused. The end result is the proxy server has too many people and just can’t handle the load. The other solution is to use a paid http proxy. Obviously not free but you also won’t have the common free proxy problems.

Paid proxies can be either rented from someone else or you can set them up yourself for considerable savings. They are usually exclusive or elite (especially if you setup your own) and this means you’ll be able to surf the internet at super fast speeds and not have to worry about down time or any other problems. Paid proxies are best for anyone who wants to be anonymous and not have to waste hours each day looking for new proxies when they discover that the free ones they have are all dead.

Regardless of the type of proxy you use, make sure that it is anonymous. You can check the anonymity of your http proxy server by visiting any number of websites and checking the IP that is reported. If you see your home computer IP then you know that the proxy is anything but anonymous and you should keep looking. Hopefully this little piece of http proxy info has made finding the best proxy for your own needs that little bit easier.

Looking For The Best HTTP Proxy Online?
What’s the best http proxy you can find online? HTTP proxies are great for doing anything website related on the internet as they allow you to access websites anonymously and provide you with the ability to change your IP and hide your real IP. However, there are so many different kinds of proxies that you might feel a little confused as to which ones are the best? HTTP proxies fall into two broad categories: free and paid. Which one is best depends on what you need your proxy server for.

Are you just looking to do a little casual surfing on the internet while at work or school? Are you not too worried about the speed of the proxy or what kind of websites you can and can’t access? If this sounds like you then a free http proxy would be the best solution for you. Why? Free proxies are obviously free and this makes them a great solution for anyone who is just a casual internet surfer. The disadvantage of these proxies is that they are usually very slow and typically stop working within a few days at most. For anyone who wants a fast proxy experience and doesn’t have to worry about how long the proxy works for, then the paid option would be best for you.

Paid proxies aren’t free, but they more than make up for this in speed and reliability. You won’t have to worry about surfing the internet at snail speeds nor do you have to worry about how long the proxy will work for. Paid proxies function the same way as your home computer when it comes to surfing the internet. For less than $10 USD a month you’ll have access to a super fast and exclusive proxy server which will allow you to be completely anonymous online and access any and every kind of website there is. It goes without saying that paid http proxies are the absolute best http proxy available today.

    HTTP Proxies And Being Anonymous
What do most people think of when you mention a HTTP or HTTPS proxy? They probably think about accessing websites they normally can't, using an IP from a different country, or hiding their home computer online so no-one can see who and where they really are. It would be fair to say that most proxy users use proxies for one of the above reasons. If you limit the concept of being anonymous to just those areas, then, yes, http proxies are a great way for anyone to protect their true identity online. So what's the problem? The problem is that if you want to talk specifics then http proxies are and aren't really anonymous.

How can they not be anonymous if you are able to change your IP and appear as though you are in another country? They aren't anonymous for many people because reliable http proxy servers are paid and this means that someone, somewhere had to pay for them using details which can be traced and used to find out where they really live. Obviously this is something that only law enforcement agencies would be able to do, but it does reveal something about being anonymous online the some proxy users fail to acknowledge.

So what can you do if you want to do more than be anonymous by using a proxy and changing your IP? The best way would be to setup your own http proxy or rent one from someone and pay in cash. Obviously this won't be possible for most people and if this is your case then you should try and use some way of paying that can't be traced. Think disposable and think credit cards. Having said this, you shouldn't be alarmed in anyway if you are using a proxy that you paid for with personal details. This information is only to make people aware of the different levels of anonymous online and for the most part using a http proxy will be just what you need to be anonymous and protect your identity online with.

Want a http proxy? Being anonymous online can sometimes be difficult. Being anonymous online is done using a proxy server, but there lies the problem. The main reason for this is because there are many different kinds of proxy servers. The only proxy server that lets you be 100% anonymous online and hide your real IP is called a http proxy.

Elite proxies are the absolute best of all the different kinds of proxy servers because they offer the highest level of anonymity possible from a proxy. They do this because not only are the IPs they give you 100% anonymous, but IPs coming from a http proxy are cloaked and no-one can tell they are proxy IPs. No-one can detect you have changed your IP. If someone can tell you have changed your IP you aren't really anonymous.

For anyone who is serious about changing their IP and , you can't get any better than a http proxy. The speed, anonymity and ability for IPs to be cloaked so you look like any other average Joe on the internet makes them the absolute best proxy solution.
